So happy to have come across this fashion design duo. The husband and wife team create exquisite work, and the textiles they use are heavily influenced by their Indian heritage. Definitely check out their page and learn more! Such talent! Sachin + Babi
Their spring 2012 collection is a wonderful mix of patterns and solids as well as neutrals and colors. What I like most is how they take a woman's body into consideration when creating their pieces. I'm so sick of these designers that make awesome clothing, but the tailoring is way off. Not these guys! Here are some of my fave pieces from their spring 2012 collection.

A Dreamy Winter
I love this spread for the November issue of Vogue Italia. The knits are so quintessentially winter, and the entire spread reminds me of a mix between a Taylor Swift music video and a Tim Burton movie. It's so dreamy, but there's also an eerie aspect to it. Aleksander Terekhov Spring 2012
I haven't seen such vibrant colors and textures in a VERY long time. Beyond impressed with this collection; I had such trouble narrowing down just a few looks as my faves! Pictures via Vogue Russia.
Must have this clutch!!! |
Have you ever seen such an elegant, deep blue in your life!? It's like she's wearing the ocean! |
Liquid bronze. Phenomenal. |
Great mixing of prints, somehow it just works! Love the shades, too. |
If a gown were business-chic, this would be it. |

AMAs 2011 Best Dressed
If there's anything to learn from last night's American Music Awards red carpet, it's this: sequin is in! If you want some ideas on how to wear the trend, don't forget to revisit some of my previous posts! Now for the best dressed...
Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad |
Julie Bowen in Manish Arora |
Robin Thicke knows how to rock the red carpet look. Half classy and half rock n roll. (No dirty combat boots! Joe Jonas...take note!) |
Taylor Swift in Reem Acra (What's with all the female country singers wearing Reem Acra on the red carpet this year? hmmm...) |
Selena Gomez in Giorgio Armani and J. Biebs in Black Velvet Say what you will about them, but they're one stylish couple! |
Lady Antebellum looking chic and presentable! |

Light Up My...Heels
We can always count on Chanel to bring us the funkiest shoes around. These light bulb shoes actually light up and unscrew, like a real lightbulb. #boss

Trend Alert: The Cape Coat
Who would have thought the storybook character of Little Red Riding Hood was so ahead of her time? She was the first to rock the cape, and many fashionistas have since followed suit. Word to the wise, however: this look is all about proportion! Don't go ruining it with some wide leg trousers, ya heard?! (Yes, Natalie Portman, I mean YOU!)
Kim K was one of the first to rock the trend. |
And big sis Kourtney doesn't fall behind! |
Kristen Bell |
Victoria Beckham |
Eva Mendes |
Cat Deely |
Blake Lively |
Clemence Poesy |
